A Brief History of The First Vietnamese Baptist Church in Albuquerque
Published on January 30, 2004 By ABQVietnameseBaptistChurch In History

The First Vietnamese Baptist Church in Albuquerque began in 1994 when a small group of Christian refugees resettled in Albuquerque and met together regularly for home bible studies. In 1996, the group was able to meet in a small chapel of Crestview Baptist Church. They continue to meet and worship Christ despite the fact that there was no pastor. In 1999, Pastor Tan Thai, one of the first members of the church, accepted his ministry and became the first pastor of the Vietnamese Baptist Church of Albuquerque. The Vietnamese Baptist Mission continued to meet at this location. As time goes by and more Vietnamese people settled in the Albuquerque area, the church has grown in number. Thanks be to God for He is faithful.

Dear sherye,
Hi, My name is Quy Nguyen . I am one of the member of the Vietnamese Baptist Church in Albuquerque. The reason why we want to have this web site and post this informations is because we want to let people know that there is a Baptist Church here in Albuquerque. It took us 8 months to find out there is a Vietnamese Baptist Church here in the city when we first got here to Albuquerque from Texas. We hope that this web site will help the people who want to find a place to worship God and find friendships among the believers. A place where one can experience the love of Christ through the kindness and caring of his children. I invite you to come visit our church and enjoy the experience. Signed, Quy Nguyen
